This technology is used by Private Communications Operators to deliver video services to Multi-Dwelling-Unit buildings. High quality centrally located satellite dishes and UHF aerials receive multiple satellite and terrestrial broadcast signals. These are fed into a system head-end, where selected channels are processed and amplified to create a single integrated cable signal. This is distributed to the end-users within the building or complex via a dedicated cable distribution network.

These systems can be installed in both residential premises (such as housing complexes and apartment blocks) and commercial premises (such as hotels, hospitals, retail outlets and holiday parks).
